Buy the shoes

to blog or not to blog? that is the question. well at this particular moment in history almost every girl and her dog has a blog, all the cool kids are doing it....yet it seems to leave me with that same sense as shopping for a new pair of shoes. Did fellow bloggers start out unsure too i wonder?? You know, that feeling of trying a few on but not entirely sure if they are really what you are after, will they ‘walk good'? (as I say to the kidlets), will they enhance me or make me look kinda silly?!! Hmm.. very similar feeling indeed this blogging thing, there is some uncertainty and perhaps a dash of fear, for my desire is to always ‘walk good’. But then there is also the fact that I love words, and oh how I love stringing them together to make something! Be it something encouraging or thought-provoking, something funny or from the very depths of my soul, I love to write. Even as a little girl I would write stories & poems to the point that my mum sent a couple to a few publishers. They would always get knocked back but it blessed my cotton socks that my mum saw something in them that she thought was worth sharing with others.(I do think that she most likely had her 'mum' eyes on at the time, as there is not too much form when I write, it just comes out as it is in my head) So yes, it’s nice to share some thoughts, but scary to bring them out beyond the pages of my pretty journals. To me, Blogland looks like just the place to share ponderings, projects, pictures & pearls with anyone willing to look, and if no one does then at least it’s the perfect medium for creative release for one with such an over-active, quirky brain such as myself. I am also gloriously enchanted by Jesus & I love that He is equally, if not more, enchanted by me. I adore my Maker & Redeemer and desire my every breath to be a love-return back to Him, so if I can write about it, I will!
So back to the buying new shoes scenario, despite being completely impractical or oh-so-pretty I have been known to buy them anyway and to my surprise found they are my most favourite in the whole wardrobe – so there, I’m doing it (buying the shoes and stepping out on the blogging road) and I hope it ‘looks good’ on me.. Glad you’re along for the walk.

  1. Looks like you are already walking good in those shoes, and they look absolutely stunning on you too! I am so glad you've taken the first step, and I'm sure you will find that the rest will follow naturally, until you are strutting your stuff on this blog cat-walk with your usual style and flair!
I love you, and your lovely blog, and look forward to trotting along in this journey with you!
